What fun we had with Max and Esther! They are totally in love (I guess to be expected for an engaged couple...) I'd like to suggest to my couples being photographed - whether for your engagement or on the day of your wedding - that playful is better. Dialogue, laughter, movement really work to capture photographs that are full of life. There will always be those posed, classic, glamour types of shots to be captured, but if that's it, things quickly get stale. Often what feels silly looks great behind the lens!
Party Ideas...
There were music lessons, ice-cream, bubbles, a bounce station, photo give-aways (provided by me!!), yummy food and over thirty children under the age of 4!! One of the best 2-year old birthdays I've been to. For this event we provided super amazing vibrant 4x6 photos on the spot, kind-of as a replacement for goodie-bags. With our efficient mini printer the photos came out timely and beautiful! A wow for all the parents...
Here are some engagement photos I took a few weeks ago down by Lakeshore. I love capturing birds in flight... (even if it is a pigeon). It's a great symbol or reminder that what seems big to us looks very different from a higher vantage point. Who would have known that it was rainy, windy and freezing day! I had lots of fun getting Marco and Melissa to do crazy things. Looking forward to the day guys!
I had the privilege of shooting Alex and Marisa's wedding this Saturday. Two beautiful people, totally in love. Alex's story of how they met had me in tears...Stories like that really do happen! EVERYTHING was beautiful and simple. Things went incredibly smooth thanks to Karen and Mona of Up & Coming Events. Excellence at every level!
