There are so many wonderful customs in an Asian wedding that I absolutely love. The Tea Ceremony where everyone gives you a gift in exchange for tea is just great! I love the custom at the end of the night where the bride and groom greets each table with a toast... and the little red envelope with a monetary gift for everyone (including me!) I always find to be such a generous gesture... Yes, I have come to like Shark Fin soup (a common element of the usual 7 course meal) Andrew and Aiko's wedding was lots of fun. I really loved how they blended traditional customs while keeping things fun and relaxed. - It was certainly educational watching Aiko being dressed with her kumono. - Layer upon layer... it was a major procedure. PS. Yes, that's me with Santa! We had a great day of photographing little ones (including newborns!) with Santa at the Moms-to-Be... and More store last week. Bad blogger... I know, however I've had a painful time with Bell recently. Yes, our internet was down for a week!! Thank goodness for my iPhone ( - which I love! and could talk about for a day...) Life has been crazy, but lots of fun. Sometimes I feel like I'm spinning 10 plates at once... yet, there's nothing else I'd rather be doing in the whole world. I am so thankful for all the amazing people I get to meet ALL the time! I have photographed some of the most beautiful couples this year. I've listened to carefully chosen words of love and affirmation, celebrated with family and proud parents, partied on the dance floor, traveled, and made lots of friends along the way. I am so thankful.

Well this was a totally cool engagement shoot. We loved having Marmalade along!! Cindy my assistant who DOES NOT like dogs was totally melted by her. I always love finding new locations to shoot at - and I was so happy that Liv suggested this cool spot near her home. It was a bit of a trek, but I was happy for the work-out. Liv works for Lou-Lou magazine. I had met her at The Wedding Show last January at the Carlu, and instantly knew I wanted to work with her. Looking forward to their wedding at the Distillery this month. (So great working with you both. Thanks for being so flexible). xoxo
